FAQs
Questions business owners ask first
Business setup, marketplace discovery, Presency Automation, Wallet, pricing, checkout, and domains.
Presency is a business operating system for Nigerian SMEs. It connects your storefront, products, orders, payments, customers, deliveries, records, and follow-ups in one place, while the Presency app helps shoppers discover your business.
Eligible businesses can appear in the Presency app, where shoppers browse businesses, products, and services. Add your business city and choose what you want listed from your Presency dashboard.
Presency Wallet gives your business a dedicated account number for collecting payments, viewing inflows, and withdrawing to your bank. Collections into the Wallet are free. Funds are held with a CBN-licensed, NDIC-insured partner; Presency does not hold customer funds itself.
No. Presency is not a lender. Verified Presency Wallet activity can help licensed lending partners assess the business for stock credit, but any offer, approval, disbursement, pricing, and repayment terms come from the licensed lending partner.
Yes. You get a live Presency store link (yourbrand.presency.co) with no monthly Presency fee and no credit card required. You can share it, add products, and take Paystack payments before you buy a custom domain. Free payments have a 2.5% Presency fee capped at ₦1,000.
Monthly billing starts when you upgrade to Starter or Pro from Plans. Until then, your Presency link stays free. A custom .com is optional on Starter and Pro — you pay the domain fee when you connect it (not in the monthly plan), and domains renew yearly, billed separately.
Starter (₦5,000/mo) unlocks team staff, customer retention emails, and AI product tools (photo → descriptions and pricing), with a lower 1.5% payment fee capped at ₦750. Pro (₦10,000/mo) lowers it to 1% capped at ₦500 and adds AI product photos, WhatsApp inbox, abandoned-checkout reminders, email past buyers when you add products, live courier prices at checkout, multi-branch stock & pickup, and premium editor sections. Daily summary emails go out on Pro once your custom domain is live.
No. Presency generates your storefront with AI, and you edit copy, photos, and products in a simple dashboard. DNS, SSL, and hosting are handled when you add a domain — you don't configure servers yourself.
Customers pay with Paystack (cards, bank transfer, and other local methods Paystack supports) on Nigerian NGN storefronts. You manage orders from your dashboard; payouts follow your Paystack setup.
Most merchants get a shareable Presency link in one sitting — signup, AI build, and a quick review. Connecting a custom domain adds DNS propagation time (often within a day).
There's no one-click full-site migrator — you rebuild on Presency (you can import catalogs from CSV, Instagram, and more) and point your domain when ready. For custom builds or non-standard flows, talk to our team.
Presency is for physical and online businesses in Nigeria — including retailers, boutiques, electronics shops, furniture dealers, food sellers, tailors, wholesalers, salons, and service businesses — that want to get found, manage sales, and grow from one system.
Instagram DM and comment automation is currently in closed beta. Instagram catalog import is a separate feature available on supported plans.
