Delete your account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Presency Stores account (and related Presency account data). Use the steps below to ask us to delete your account and associated personal data.

How to request account deletion

  1. In the Presency Stores app (recommended): Open the app while signed in → go to the Profile tab → Account settings Delete account, then type DELETE to confirm. You do not need to use a browser. This permanently removes your account (and any stores you own).
  2. On the web (store owners / vendor accounts): Sign in at presency.co/login, open Settings, then choose Delete account and confirm.
  3. By email (if you cannot sign in): Send a request from the email address on your account to hello@presency.co. Use the subject line “Account deletion request — Presency Stores” and include the email address registered on your account. We will reply to that inbox asking you to confirm before we delete anything.

We aim to process email requests within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation when deletion is complete.

How we verify it's you (email requests)

If you are not signed in on the web, we identify your account by the email address on the request. We only delete data tied to a Presency account when we can match that address to an existing user.

  1. You email us from the same address used on your Presency / Presency Stores account (or tell us that registered address in the message).
  2. We look up the account by that email. If no account exists, we reply and ask you to confirm the correct address — we do not delete anything based on a name alone.
  3. We reply to that inbox asking you to confirm (e.g. reply YES to delete). Deletion runs only after confirmation from the registered email.

If you are signed in on the Presency Stores app or at presency.co/login, your session already identifies you — no email back-and-forth is needed when you use in-app or web Delete account.

Data that is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove or permanently de-identify personal data associated with your Presency / Presency Stores account, including:

  • Account profile (name, email, authentication identifiers)
  • App profile and account preferences
  • Storefront / site content and configuration you own on Presency
  • In-app chat messages and notifications tied to your account, where stored by us
  • Device / push notification tokens associated with your account
  • Marketing preferences and marketing unsubscribe records tied to your account email (for stores you own)

Data that may be retained

Some information may be kept where we have a legal, security, or accounting need, for example:

  • Transaction and payment records required for tax, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution (kept only as long as required by law or our processors)
  • Aggregated / anonymized analytics that no longer identify you
  • Limited security logs for a short period to prevent abuse

Orders you placed as a customer on an independent storefront may remain with that store owner (they are the seller of record). If you need a store to delete purchase details they hold, contact that store directly.
